Grace Bennion, Assistant Foodbank Manager of North Lakes Foodbank, is taking part in the Trussell Trust's Step Up September challenge, raising money and awareness for Trussell Trust.

Step Up September challenges you to walk 30 minutes each day this September. You can do the challenge in your own time, from wherever you feel comfortable. Walk your way through September with our virtual walking challenge. It is not the distance you travel, it’s the time you give and the money you raise to help build a future where nobody needs to use a food bank.

Did you know that food banks in the Trussell Trust network distributed close to 3 million emergency food parcels between 1 April 2022 to 31st March 2023? This is the most parcels that the network has ever distributed in a financial year and represents a 37% increase from the same period in 2021/22.
This is also the first time that food banks in the Trussell Trust network have provided over a million parcels for children, with record levels of need seen for both children and adults this year.
With your help, the Trussell Trust can continue their work and get closer to a future where there is no longer a need for food banks.
