This week we have been concentrating on packing the bags for our primary/junior Lunchpacks 4 Kids scheme. Volunteers from Brewin Dolphin spent over 4 hours packing nearly 400 bags at Lillyhall on Wednesday. They also raised £1000 by doing a sponsored ‘in-house’ Coast to Coast (380 miles) by running, walking or cycling the distance in their local area.

We have had a number of volunteer packing sessions too (thank you to all who took part) over the last three weeks. We now have some 750-800 bags packed, having already distributed the first week’s supplies earlier in the week. One more packing session in 10 days times will ensure that we have enough bags packed for the summer holidays (approx. 1,200bags = nearly 8 tonnes of food)
