Help us recognise the 15th year of the North Lakes Foodbank. We have come up with a new character to help us publicise who we are, what we do, why we are here and what we need.

Sadly, our new friend does not have a name yet. Can you help?

Please email suggestions for a name to andrew@thefoodbank.org.uk including your name and age (if you wish to declare it/under 18 will need adult permission to enter).

Closing date is 29th February 2024. Prizes will be awarded for the best suggestions.

This looks like a fun and engaging competition — initiatives like this not only bring the community together but also help spotlight the important work food banks do every day to support people in need. Whether it’s organizing volunteers, collecting donations, or planning distributions, there’s a lot of coordination happening behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly. In very different fields like manufacturing, teams also rely on tools such as production scheduling software to organize workflows, allocate resources, and keep complex operations on track efficiently.

Clear contract knowledge supports smoother projects. Taking jct contract training helps explain variations and extensions in plain terms. It shows how procedures work in real settings. This can reduce small misunderstandings. The College of Contract Management presents ideas in short, clear segments. Learners can reflect on each topic easily. The format supports better focus. Over time, confidence grows naturally.

It is wonderful to see the community coming together for such a great cause, especially since food banks provide such a vital lifeline during tough times. I remember a particularly difficult semester when I was volunteering locally and felt so stretched for time that I actually looked for someone to take my online class just to keep up with my commitments. Having that kind of support, whether through community action or academic help, truly makes a world of difference when you are trying to give back.

I truly appreciate this well-written content on Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Kanya Sumangala Yojana. These schemes show the government’s commitment to housing development and girl child empowerment. PMAY ensures safe homes, and Kanya Sumangala provides financial assistance at different stages of a girl’s life. Thank you for sharing such valuable knowledge that benefits society and spreads awareness.
