Harlequin Choir support the Foodbank at Lorton Street Methodist Church, Cockermouth

We are very grateful to the Harlequin Choir who came to sing as part of NLFB's 10th Anniversary year of events today. There was a real variety of songs - from Oliver, Les Miserables, Mary Poppins together with recent chart hits etc. Much like our volunteers the choir sang with a smile on their faces and it was clear that they enjoyed themselves as much as those who were listening. Entrance was by donation of food and over 150kg of food was collected. This will fill 10 emergency food boxes (3 day's supply) for two people.

Refreshments were provided by the Cockermouth Foodbank Centre - many thanks to Joan and the team for organising and baking such a fabulous array of cakes. What a team in the kitchen clearing up afterwards!!
